Dear Automotive Community,

This year sees the third European Automotive CFD Conference (EACC) take place in Frankfurt, Germany. Since its inception in 2003, the EACC has established itself as the world’s biggest and most authoritative automotive CFD conference.

In 2007, the EACC is expected to attract more than 400 delegates comprising directors, managers, engineers, and consultants from across the automotive industry worldwide, making it a key event to network with peers and to learn about the very latest industry developments in CFD.

The strength and breadth of the EACC is underlined, not only by the number of attendees, but by the quality of speakers on show. Amongst those already confirmed for this year’s event are:

  • Willem Toet, Head of Aerodynamics, BMW Sauber F1 Team, to discuss how simulation is shaping the future of Formula 1

  • Ron Schoon, Chief Engineer of Aerodynamics, International Truck and Engine Corporation, to present on future trends in vehicle aerodynamics performance

  • Allan Wang, Head of Virtual Simulation Applications, Modine Manufacturing Company, who will describe the integration of engineering simulation in the product development process

More than 50 presentations will focus on the application of industry-leading software tools including FLUENT, ANSYS CFX and ANSYS ICEM CFD, plus other related simulation tools. In addition, the conference will include:

  • A Management Round Table: Invited experts will discuss “The Need for Speed: High Performance Computing in the Automotive Industry”
